Author Guidelines
Overview
- The American Journal of Mathematics & Physical Sciences (AJMPS) adheres to international standards for manuscript submission, formatting, and ethical compliance.
- Authors must ensure that their manuscripts meet the journal’s structural and ethical requirements prior to peer review.
- Submissions that do not comply with the formatting or ethical guidelines may be returned for revision before further consideration.
Manuscript Types
- Original Research Articles: In-depth studies presenting novel theoretical, computational, or experimental findings with clear methodologies and conclusions.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive surveys of recent progress in specific areas of mathematics or physics, highlighting key advancements, challenges, and future directions.
- Short Communications: Brief reports on significant findings, novel methods, or preliminary results that merit rapid dissemination.
- Mathematical Proofs & Theoretical Models: Formal presentations of original mathematical proofs or new theoretical constructs relevant to physics or related fields.
- Conference Proceedings: Peer-reviewed papers presented at scientific conferences, workshops, or symposiums.

Manuscript Format
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English.
- Authors are encouraged to use language editing services before submission if necessary.
- File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX format.
- Font & Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced with 1-inch margins.
- Word Limits: Original Research (5000–8000 words), Review Articles (7000–10,000 words), Short Communications (1500–3000 words).
- Figures & Tables: Minimum 300 DPI resolution (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF); tables must be in editable format.
- Placement: Figures and tables should be embedded within the text and sequentially numbered.
Abstract And Keywords
- Abstract: A concise summary of the research objectives, methodology, results, and key findings, not exceeding 250 words.
- Keywords: Provide 4–10 keywords that accurately represent the scope and content of the article.
Citation And Referencing
- References must adhere to IEEE or APA citation style, depending on the subject area.

Cover Letter
- Each submission must be accompanied by a cover letter stating the following:
- • Type of article (e.g., Original Research, Review).
- • Summary of the research’s significance.
- • Declaration that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
- • Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest.
- • (Optional) Suggestion of at least three qualified reviewers.
Submission Process
- All manuscripts must be submitted via our online submission system.
- Steps:
- 1. Register or log in to the submission portal.
- 2. Complete all required submission details including title, abstract, and keywords.
- 3. Upload manuscript and supplementary materials.
- 4. Confirm adherence to the journal’s formatting and ethics policies.
- 5. Submit and monitor the manuscript status through the author dashboard.
Peer Review Process
- All submissions are subject to rigorous **double-blind peer review** to uphold academic integrity and scientific merit.
- Stages:
- 1. Editorial Screening – Initial quality check and scope relevance.
- 2. Reviewer Assignment – At least two anonymous expert reviewers are assigned.
- 3. Review Reports – Detailed feedback with recommendations: Accept, Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject.
- 4. Revisions – Authors respond to reviewers with a revised version and rebuttal letter.
- 5. Final Decision – Based on reviewer input and editorial evaluation.
- The average peer review timeline is 4–6 weeks.
Publication Ethics
- Originality: Submissions must be original and not published or under review elsewhere.
- Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Similarity above 20% may result in rejection.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any personal or financial relationships that could influence the research.
- Ethics Approval: For research involving human or animal subjects, an ethics statement and approval must be included.
Publication Charges
- To support open-access publishing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is required upon acceptance.
- APC Rates:
- • High-Income Countries: $1500
- • Middle-Income Countries: $1000
- • Low-Income Countries: $500
- Waivers and discounts are available on a case-by-case basis, especially for authors with limited funding. Requests must be made during submission.
